Bouygues has been appointed preferred contractor on a 42-storey residential tower in Stratford, east London.

The contractor will build Manhattan Loft Gardens, a major development for developer Harry Handelsman’s Manhattan Loft Corporation, which rennovated St Pancras Hotel in north London.

The double-cantilevered tower includes three gardens and a hotel.

SOM is architect and structural engineer, Hoare Lea is M&E engineer and DBK is quantity surveyor.

Handelsman said: “The appointment of Bouygues UK will add to the vast experience of our already top class project team. This is an important project for the regeneration of Stratford and will bring the highest quality development to the heart of the new media and financial district of London.”
