Contractor Bovis Lend Lease is set to team up with Capita Symonds to bid for the London Olympics project management role, Building has learned.
Capita Symonds is currently bidding for the Olympic Delivery Authority delivery contract on its own as Legacy 2012.
Bovis and Capita Symonds last week teamed up to win a £250m Building Schools for the Future project in Lancashire.
The race to become the ODA's delivery partner now appears to be between Balfour Beatty/Amec, Bovis/Capita Symonds and Bechtel, although it is not known whether other bidders will come to the table.
Mace has yet to reveal its hand but there is speculation that it will join either Laing O'Rouke or the Balfour Beatty/Amec team.
