Bovis Lend Lease has entered Silicon Valley with the £6.6m purchase of a Californian consultant that specialises in work for the microelectronics industry.

The 80-strong firm is called Project Consultants and provides design services and project and construction management.

The 10-year-old firm will be merged into Bovis’ US operation and will focus on the design and construction of semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

Ross Johnston, director of global markets for Bovis Lend Lease, said Projects Consultants’ Californian base would be the launch pad for further expansion.

David Luedtke, president of Project Consultants, said the deal would allow the firm to provide additional services to clients as part of a larger package.
