Bracknell Regeneration Partnership wins outline planning permission for £750m redevelopment of town centre.

Bracknell Forest council has given the go-ahead for the £750m regeneration of Bracknell town centre.

Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, a joint venture between Schroder Exempt Property Unit Trust and Legal & General, won the outline planning permission last night.

The scheme still has to gain the approval of the Government Office for the South East before it can go ahead. BRP aims to start work on site in about 18 months.

David Gregory of Bracknell Regeneration Partnership said: "The regeneration scheme will put the heart back into Bracknell by investing in a sustainable community for the future and creating a first-class, mixed use, town centre for the Borough.

Cllr Paul Bettison, Leader of Bracknell Forest Borough Council said: "This is an incredibly exciting time and we are on the verge of seeing the masterplan become a reality.

"This is the culmination of many years work for us, talking and listening to local people to make sure we develop a town centre that is right for them."
