Construction work has begun on the refurbishment of Sorby House, a former Department of Social Security office in Sheffield.

The refurbishment, designed by Bond Bryan Architects, will be the centrepiece of the regeneration programme for the Burngreave area under the New Deal for Communities. The building will be transformed into a mixed-use property. Kier Sheffield is the main contractor.
