Hougton-Le-Spring Primary Care Centre in Sunderland by Willmott Dixon

The Hougton-Le-Spring Primary Care Centre in Sunderland netted consultant Mott MacDonald and ventilation specialist Breathing Buildings the best practice award at recent CIBSE Construction Excellence North East awards.

The building uses a wall down its spine containing 49 individual ventilation shafts to separate the ventilation for individual spaces and therefore reduce the potential for infection transfer between patients.
