Building’s deputy editor Dave Rogers has been shortlisted for this year’s PPA Writer of the Year Award.

He has been nominated for his work on the collapse of Carillion, revealing the reason why the Spurs stadium was late and an interview with 22 Bishopsgate developer Sir Stuart Lipton.

The category used to be split between business magazines and consumer titles but has since been merged into one.

The 12-strong shortlist includes journalists from GQ, the Sunday Times and Cosmopolitan.

Building editor Chloe McCulloch said: “The PPAs are prestigious awards for all consumer and business titles so it’s great to have Building and its parent Assemble Media Group represented this year.

“It’s really pleasing to see that his talent and hard work have been recognised at this level.”

The awards will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane on 19 June.
