Building was this week named Britain's best-edited weekly business magazine.
Adrian Barrick, the editor of Building, was voted editor of the year in the business weekly category of the 33rd annual British Society of Magazine Editors awards, held at London's Park Lane Hilton hotel on Monday evening.

This is the third time in five years that Barrick has won the award.

The judges – from a mixture of business and consumer publications – praised Building as "strong, confident and a magazine you could trust".

The shortlist included two sister magazines – Property Week and Housing Today – as well as two leading titles in other sectors, Drapers and Media Week.

Amanda Baillieu, editor of Building's sister magazine RIBA Journal was named editor of the year in the monthly business and professional category. The magazine was redesigned earlier this year.
