Buro Happold is to deliver the structural engineering and building services design for the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra’s performance venue in Katowice, Poland

Based on the site of the former Katowice mine, the building is part of the city council’s broader plan to revitalise the local area. Designed by the local architect Konior Studio, the facility boasts cutting edge acoustic separation technology to allow recordings to take place in the main auditorium while rehearsals and other activities continue in the rest of the building.
