The team behind the £400m Canada Water regeneration scheme in south-east London is to meet with the Greater London Authority this month to seek approval for the scheme.
Danish investment company Foreign Property APS and architect Hodder Associates believe that they can secure GLA backing for the mixed-use project as it meets mayor Ken Livingstone's targets on affordable housing and public transport routes.

An application for outline consent to develop the brownfield site is expected to be submitted to Southwark council later in the year.

The team is meeting regularly with local community group the Canada Water Forum to fine-tune its plans. These include charging points for electric vehicles, which will remove the need for petrol stations.
