Consultant and HSSP Architects will project manage local community sports centre scheme

Consultant Capita Symonds and HSSP Architects have been appointed by Canterbury City Council to project manage the development of a new local community sports hub.

The project will involve developing the scheme from concept through to the securing of planning permission, and obtaining funding from partner organisations.

These centres are an emerging vehicle for the delivery of community football and other complementary facilities.

The project aims to strengthen partnerships between Kent County Council, Canterbury City Football Club, local health providers and schools.

Tom Pinnington, project manager at Capita Symonds Consulting, said: “We will work closely with partners and local residents to ensure that the scheme has as much support as possible.

“We anticipate our work will help deliver much needed facilities to the communty of Canterbury.”
