Capita Symonds has bought consulting engineer NRM Bobrowski for an estimated £1.5m.

The firm, which is a specialist in the sports sector, has 45 staff at three offices in London, Southampton and Sheffield and turns over £3m.

Jonathan Goring, Capita Symonds’ managing director, said: “We’ve struck a formula of pursuing niche specialists as opposed to generalists. We can be sure we want 100% of the businesses we buy and they are easier to integrate.”

He said the company was in discussions with two other possible acquisitions and hoped to announce the purchase of one of them this year.

Last month, the firm bought land planning consultancy Lovejoy for an undisclosed sum.
