Capita Symonds infrastructure director John Southgate leaves business

One of Capita Symonds’ most senior directors, John Southgate, has exited the business.

Southgate, who was director of infrastructure and international business development at Capita Symonds and previously ran the firm’s transport, environment and design and infrastructure divisions over ten years, has left the business to pursue other opportunities, Capita Symonds confirmed.

Capita Symonds is recruiting for an infrastructure business development director to replace him.

The news came as Capita Symonds’ former managing director Jonathan Goring was formally removed as a director of the firm at Companies House.

Goring took up a new role in January heading up parent company Capita’s defence joint venture with URS and PA Consulting for the Ministry of Defence’s £400m private sector partner and remains a senior Capita executive.

In June Capita announced it was rebranding Capita Symonds as Capita property and infrastructure, with the name change expected to be rolled out from the end of this month.
