Consultants win place on regional design and construction framework
Capita Symonds has been appointed to the Sport England design and construction framework for building modernisation and upgrades across London and the South East.
The four-year framework provides independent sports clubs, schools, and local community and volunteer groups with a “one stop shop” for the design and delivery of their projects.
It is part of a new strategy to facilitate the delivery of new and upgraded facilities, initially backed by the £50m Places People Play programme.
Capita Symonds said its role would include visiting property and carrying out condition surveys; highlighting suitability for upgrading; preparing feasibility reports including outline design proposals; consulting with local planning and building control departments; developing detailed design solutions; and managing works on site.
