Pay freeze at the consultant continues for the third year running

Capita Symonds has confirmed that it will keep its pay freeze for the third year running, despite having reported turnover and profit rises for the 2010 financial year.

The consultant said: “The policy we have employed for the last two years remains in place. There is a pay freeze for all staff except in areas of the market that are booming.”

The company did not say in which areas employees’ salaries had been increased.

In results for 2010, which were released in February, the firm increased its underlying profits from £23.1m the previous year to £25.6m.

Turnover was also up from £258.1m to £309m, and Capita Symonds described the year as being “exceptional”.
