Both Leeds and Manchester offices will close leaving 31 jobs redundant

Two northern offices of architect Careyjones Chapmantolcher have gone into administration leading to 31 redundancies.

Both the Leeds and Manchester offices are closing due to a lack of work, Building’s sister title Building Design (BD) reports.

Joint administrator Mike Kienlen of accountant Armstrong Watson, told BD:  “Eighteen months ago, the business adopted a new structure, dividing its operations into north and south. Unfortunately, the northern company has suffered particularly badly from the poor financial conditions in the property market which have delayed the start of many of its projects.”

The practice’s London office will continue to trade.
