Contractor to provide facilities management services for Nationwide and Virgin Media

Carillion has secured FM contracts worth up to £204m with Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Media.

The contract with Nationwide is for the provision of FM services for the Society’s entire property portfolio in the UK. Carillion will also provide a total FM solution for Nationwide’s high-street branches, covering over 800 outlets across the UK. The contract commences in April 2011 and will run for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend for a further two years.

The FM contract with Virgin Media is a renewal of a current agreement and extends the Carillion’s partnership with Virgin to at least mid-2013 and potentially 2015. Under the new contract, Carillion will continue to deliver hard and soft FM services for Virgin Media’s UK national estate, including their headquarters campus in Hook.

Commenting on the deals, John McDonough, chief executive of Carillion, said: “We are delighted to have secured these new contracts with the Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Media.

“This reflects the strong relationship we have built with these customers, for whom we already provide extensive facilities management services. We look forward to strengthening these long-term partnerships under the new contracts.”
