Construction group sells share in Queen Alexandra Hospial PFI to HSBC but will continue providing FM

Carillion has sold its share in the Queen Alexandra Hospital PFI contract to HSBC for £31.3m.

Carillion built the Portsmouth hospital and it was officially opened by Princess Anne in October last year. According to Carillion the sale is in line with its policy of recycling PFI equity “from projects on which construction is complete into new projects.”

The firm will continue to provide facilities management services to the hospital under its current 35 year contract.
