Joint venture lines up for seven-year maintenance, new build and refurbishment contract.

CarillionEnterprise, a joint venture between Carillion and Enterprise, has been named as the preferred bidder for a £500m Ministry of Defence contract to maintain its built estate. The joint venture will also carry out non-PFI new build and refurbishment in the Regional Prime Central contract.

CarillionEnterprise will be responsible for the maintenance, new build and refurbishment of approximately 8,500 buildings in locations from the Scottish border, through the north of England to the Humber, the Midlands and throughout Wales. The contract is for seven years, with a possible three-year extension.

Enterprise’s chief executive Jack McGrory said: “Selection for this contract, our second with the Ministry of Defence, consolidates our position in this important and growing area of the infrastructure maintenance market.”
