Argentinian architect famous for his Canary Wharf tower returns to London with Land Secs

Land Securities has put plans for the Selborne House development designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects in for planning.

The 12-floor building will stand on Victoria Street in the City of Westminster. It will be mixed use, with 408,505ft2 of office space and 17,718ft2 of retail at the ground floor level.

The planning application follows Land Secs’ proposals for the Victoria transport interchange designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, which were handed to the planners last week.

Colette O’Shea, head of development for Land Secs' London portfolio, said: “Our new development at Selborne House will benefit the area greatly. Not only will it create a fresh commercial environment, it will also supply new retail and leisure provision for the local community.”

Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects is led by Cesar Pelli, the architect of 1 Canada Square. The news of his appointment to Selborne House was revealed in Building last June.
