The recently completed Leadenhall Building, known as the Cheesegrater, is to open its doors to the public this weekend as one of the star attractions of the annual Open House festival.

The distinctive tower in the City of London developed by British Land and Oxford Properties, was designed by Graham Stirk, partner at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and built by Laing O’Rourke.

The Open House initiative began in London in 1992 and has now spread to a global network of more than 20 cities, including Barcelona, New York and Rome.

The London festival includes over 800 locations and is supported by 2,000 volunteers.
