Northern Gateway mixed-use scheme to start next March
Chesterfield Borough Council has announced it is looking for a development partner for a major £50m town centre mixed-use scheme.
The Northern Gateway scheme will include a new town centre food store, offices, homes and a new road layout to improve pedestrian access to the town centre and market place.
Work will start in March next year on the developmen,t which is part of a ten-year masterplan by Scott Wilson, and is expected to take until the end of 2015 to complete.
Interested development partners have until 23 September to complete the prequal process.
