Quarry operator Aram Resources has been bought by the Bouygues-owned road construction firm Colas, for £12.7m.
Colas is paying 300p in cash for each share. Aram will now provide Colas with aggregates and coated stone in the South, South-west and North-west. It intends to use the deal to gain a stronger position in the UK's bulk mineral processing market.
