Acquisitions boost housing support group Connaught’s turnover to £114m as order book increases to £1.3bn.

Housing spport services group Connaught has increased its pre-tax profit by 14% to £3.7m. Turnover increased by 18% to £114m.

The Group said it had already secured £250m turnover for 2005 and £260m for 2006. Its order book has also grown to £1.3bn.

Contract wins in the last year included £80m with Sandwell Homes over five years, £60m over seven years with Wirral Partnership Homes and £60m over five years at A1 Homes. Connnaught has also achieved highest bidder status for an asset management contract with Paradigm Housing, which is expected to be worth £120m over 10 years.

Chairman Tim Ross said: “I am certain that prospects have never been better and look forward to further good progress in the second half of the year.”

Ross said that its three acquisitions in 2004 will generate considerable value from 2006 and beyond.
