91 sites, including Leeds Arena and Tate Modern extension, will open their doors to the public

Major building sites around Britain will open their doors to the public next month as part of a plan to showcase the construction industry.

The Open Doors initiative on 9 and 10 November will give the public the chance to take guided tours of 91 sites, including the Leeds Arena development, the Tate Modern extension in London and the Olympic aquatics centre.

The scheme is the result of a partnership between the UK Contractors Group, CITB-ConstructionSkills, the Considerate Constructors Scheme and the Chartered Institute of Building.
