Meet the buyer event due next month

Consultants have been put on notice for a £48m engineering consultancy framework for road works in South Wales.

The four-year framework, announced in a Prior Information Notice by Neath Port Talbot council, will be for maintenance and improvement works on motorways and trunk roads managed by the South Wales Trunk Road Agent (SWTRA).

The council added that the framework will be for procuring “high quality multidisciplinary construction related design and construction supervision services”.

Work up for grabs will include bridge design, structural design, project management, environmental impact assessments and cost estimations.

The SWTRA is holding a ‘meet the buyer’ event on 14 October with a representative from the Welsh government to get market feedback on potential framework models.

Firms have until 9 October to contact the council to confirm attendance.
