Balfour nabs two MoD jobs
Balfour Beatty has secured a £37m contract from Defence Estates, the Ministry of Defence's property arm, to build and operate naval accommodation at the HMS Nelson barracks in Portsmouth. It is also preferred bidder on a £30m deal to build naval accommodation at Marchwood and Thorney Island, West Sussex.

£50m Tube refurb goes to Gee
Essex-based contractor Gee Construction has secured a £50m station modernisation programme from London Underground. Gee will refurbish 23 stations on the Jubilee Line under the seven-year framework agreement.

Anglo Holt Construction has won a contract to add 48,000 m2 to Land Rover's factory in Solihull, West Midlands.

HBG wins Guernsey courts job
HBG Design, with Nicholas Hare Architects and Buro Happold, has won a design competition for the £13.8m extension to law courts at the Guernsey Royal Court House.
