Simon Storer takes over from Jean Emblin who retired last year.

The Construction Products Association has appointed Simon Storer as its new External Affairs Director.

Storer has taken over from Jean Emblin, who retired at the end of last year. He previously worked for Eurotunnel from 1985 to 1994 and as communications consultant to the architect Levitt Bernstein and the Shoreditch New Deal for Communities project in East London. He was recently with the Royal Mail Group.

Commenting on the appointment, Michael Ankers chief executive of the CPA, said:

"We are delighted Simon has joined our team and we all look forward to working with him. The industry is facing some exciting challenges over the coming years and it is crucial that the Association continues to represent the industry at all levels. Simon will be a key factor in helping us realise this and I know his input will be of enormous benefit to us and our members."
