Crest Nicholson’s Midlands division has acquired land from Richborough Estates for a 137-unit residential development in Ludlow, Shropshire.

The proposed development will provide a mix of housing types, ranging in size from two to five-bedroom houses, with the firm building 34 units that will be deemed affordable.

A children’s play area will also be incorporated into the plans, as well as a community orchard at the south side of the site.

The development will be located off Foldgate Lane with the A49 running to the east of the site, linking residents to surrounding towns. Ludlow train station is also just over a kilometre away, providing links to the likes of Cardiff Central, Manchester Piccadilly and Hereford.

Crest Nicholson launched its Midlands division in August, expanding from its south east heartland. Based in Tamworth, the business arm operates across Birmingham and the West Midlands, extending into Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
