Croydon council this week confirmed it had selected John Laing Partnership as its preferred partner to regenerate its land in the borough

John Laing beat Land Securities subsidiary Trillium to secure the deal, which is thought to be worth £450m. The first project the joint venture will undertake will be this redevelopment of council offices to a design by architect EPR.

EPR has devised a masterplan to develop four council-owned sites across the borough into residential, retail and office buildings. If the joint venture with John Laing is a success, the council aims to put more land into the partnership.
