Steve Townsend arrives from pharma giant GSK
Currie & Brown has appointed a former GSK executive as its new global head of pharmaceutical sector.
Steve Townsend started this week, having previously been global head of project controls at the pharma giant where he spent nine years.
He was also in charge of capital spending at GSK which included its sites at Barnard Castle, North Yorkshire, and Stevenage in Hertfordshire.

Currie & Brown said he will lead its global pharmaceutical and life sciences sector strategy.
The consultant’s chief executive Alan Manuel said: “Our pharmaceutical and life science clients are investing at pace and under pressure. Steve’s experience, particularly from the client side, strengthens our ability to meet those needs with confidence.”
