Cyril Sweett has established a JV company with an allied Japanese firm.

The QS announced this morning that it had created Meiho Sweett, registered in Hong Kong, with its partner Meiho Facility Works.

Meiho focuses on design and project management, and Cyril Sweett said that the JV would combine the two companies’ strengths.

Meiho Sweett will operate across the Asia Pacific region, particular in Japan.

Last July the QS bought Chinese consultant Widnell, and has formed another partnership with a QS in Kuala Lumpur.

Dean Webster, chief executive, said: “Today’s announcement marks a further step in the Company’s international diversification and is a testament to our successful collaboration with Meiho.  We believe Meiho Sweett will significantly strengthen our service offering and provide added benefits and synergies for our growing client base in the region.”
