Cyril Sweett will not appeal against the decision to leave it off an £800m consultants framework

The company was one of several surprise names that did not make it on to the Office of Government Commerce’s recommended list of 12 project managers last week.

Others left out were Arup, Parsons Brinckerhoff and Gleeds, which is thought to be considering a challenge.

Whitehall departments, emergency services, local councils and the NHS are signed up to use the framework, which the government hopes will help rationalise public procurement.

Successful bidders for the framework included Capita Symonds, Faithful + Gould and Rider Levett Bucknall.
