After missing a place on Buying Solutions list, consultant teams up with Capita Symonds to supply QS and project management services

Cyril Sweett confirmed today that it has signed a deal with Capita Symonds that will allow the firm to work on commissions from the government’s £800m project management framework.

In June, Cyril Sweett missed out on a place on Buying Solution’s 12-strong list of recommended project managers and designers for public sector projects. But it has now signed a memorandum of understanding with Capita Symonds, one of the successful bidders, that will see the two firms collaborate on schemes procured this way.

Through this arrangement Cyril Sweett will provide quantity surveying and project management services to any contracts Capita Symonds wins through the framework following a business lead from Cyril Sweett.

Capita Symonds will continue to provide its own quantity surveying and project management services on all other projects secured through the Framework.

In an announcement to the stock market, Cyril Sweett chief executive, Dean Webster, said: “This is testimony to our excellent client offering and services and will further strengthen our foothold in the public services arena."

Mark Norris, executive director at Capita Symonds, said: "We are very pleased now to have established this collaboration with Cyril Sweett, which will support us in our drive to extend our lead even further in key growth areas of the public sector market.”
