Six-home development for Brick Ltd located in regeneration hotspot

CZWG Architects has had planning approved for a mixed-use scheme in Brighton.

The proposed development for the client, Brick Limited, involves the demolition of existing buildings, to be replaced by a mixed-use four storey building. The site is situated close to the Grade One listed St. Bartholomew’s church and the railway station.

To counter the shading effects from the neighbouring church, the scheme has divided the planned residential units into a terrace of six vertically facing triplex flats with external terraces.

The ground floor of the building will be set aside for commercial use, with space for a restaurant. The scheme is a focal point part of Ann’s Street regeneration as a key pedestrian route in Brighton.
