Consultant appointed project manager on £18m museum revamp.

Consultant Drivers Jonas has been appointed project manager on the £18m revamp of the Museum of London.

The scheme, which will be part-funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, will create a new glass fronted gallery as part of a transformation of the lower floors of the museum. The development will also include a learning centre and theatre.

Chris Davies, partner at Drivers Jonas, said: “This is a significant addition to our already considerable portfolio of project management commissions in the cultural and heritage sector. With the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, we look forward to helping the museum to create an exciting and world-class visitor attraction.”

The scheme is due for completion in 2009.
