E-WM-22 is constructed using lightweight aggregate blocks and a 100mm cavity, which is filled with the Knauf Insulation mineral wool slabs. The company says projects that use E-WM-22 score an additional three points under the health and wellbeing category of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The firm says Earthwool masonry party wall slabs have been designed as a thermal and acoustic solution for use in masonry cavity party walls between adjoining apartments, semi-detached and terraced houses. Composed of non-combustible glass mineral wool, they are manufactured in accordance with BSI quality assurance standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2000, and product standard EN 13162.
