Blaze in Leyton took 75 firefighters over three hours to bring under control

A fire in east London has gutted several warehouses and office buildings.

Around 75 firefighters took more than three hours to bring the blaze under control, according to reports.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Church Road in Leyton at 11pm last night.

The London Fire Brigade said 25 people had been evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure. Noone is thought to have been hurt.

A fire service spokeswoman said it was too early to determine the cause of the fire.
