Consultant will work across over 400 properties including test, LGV and multi-purpose centres

Consultant EC Harris has won a contract with the Driving Standards Agency.

The two-year framework, with an option for an additional three years, will see the firm act as agent across the DSA’s national portfolio of more than 400 properties, including test centres, LGV centres and multi-purpose centres.

A team of six, managed from EC Harris’ Birmingham office, will provide building surveying services, project management, CDM coordination, health and safety consultancy, a helpdesk service, financial management, annual inspections and audits of work and statutory compliance.

Alan Kemp, EC Harris head of central government sector, said: “Although the team will be based in Birmingham, close to the DSA’s headquarters in Nottingham, the strength, size and nature of our geographical reach will enable us to deliver to the client needs at a local level.”

The DSA is responsible for conducting driving tests for cars, motorcycles, lorries and buses at its 158 test centres.
