Ecobuild has announced it will be partnering with off-site construction experts Cogent Consulting to deliver a focused exhibition zone and series of off-site masterclasses for the 2017 edition of the show.

Explore Offsite at Ecobuild will be a dedicated show focused on supporting attendees in learning more about the opportunities offered by off-site technology in the future of construction, through a three-day seminar programme and exhibition.

The initative comes at a time when the government is encouraging the industry to adopt more offsite construction to tackle the housing crisis, while big name firms like investor Legal & General and contractor Laing O’Rourke are among those investing heavily in off-site operations.

The Explore Offsite masterclasses and demonstrations will highlight the benefits of off-site technology across the built environment - from housebuilding to infrastructure.

The seminars will take place alongside exhibitions showcasing each of the six main types of off-site construction - modular volumetric; steel; timber; concrete; roofing and MEP/pods.

The news comes as Ecobuild and the UK-Green Building Council announced a strategic partnership for the event for the third year running.

Ecobuild 2017 will take place on 7-9 March and its overarching theme is Regeneration. For more information, visit www.ecobuild.co.uk.
