The shortlisted firms are:
- Cadweb, set up to provide project extranets for construction
- CMInternational, UK and Hong Kong-based construction manager
- Gusto Construction, the Nottinghamshire housebuilder
- Integra, the Brighton-based contractor that has invested strongly in the community
- Piercy Conner, the architect behind the micro-flats concept
- Unite, the UK's leading provider of "key worker" accommodation.
