Firm promises to create a seafront to “define the town for generations to come”

Architect Farrells’ masterplan for Folkestone harbour has been given outline planning permission.

The development was approved by Shepway District Council last week.

The design aims to reconnect the town with its seafront with new public spaces and leisure facilities.

John Letherland, partner at Farrells, said it was an “exciting blueprint for the future of Folkestone Seafront” and would “define the town for generations to come”.

He added: “Now we want to work with the people of Folkestone and other stakeholders to continue to transform the town and to make it a better place to live, work, visit and study.”
