Consultant will provide cost management, including whole life cost services for all three regional frameworks

Consultant Faithful+Gould has been appointed to the Learning & Skills Council's new consultancy framework for the provision of cost management, including whole life cost services.

The QS firm will work with all three regional frameworks, covering the South, Central and North of England over four years.

The use of the framework will be compulsory for all further education colleges, specialist colleges and other qualifying external institutions, applying for capital grant support, where projects are likely to cost £5m or more.

Parents company Atkins has also been appointed to all three regional frameworks for multi-disciplinary design.

Andrew Constable, director at F+G, said: "The frameworks have been established to ensure more effective delivery of capital projects. Further education capital projects have become larger and more complex; the framework has been set up to ensure providers are advised by proficient and effective teams of professional consultants.

"It is testament to our consulting expertise and our knowledge of the complexity of the requirements of the further education sector."
