The office at Newport Road currently accommodates 40 staff working on a variety of private and public sector projects. The office space, shared with parent company Atkins, will allow F+G to continue to grow its operation in Wales.

The firm has had a presence in Cardiff since 1976. During this time the company has expanded its professional services in the region, particularly with regard to project management, building surveying and health and safety services.

Niall Sloan, director for Cardiff and Swansea, said: “Together with the team of eight in Swansea we are well placed to cover the South Wales market. Our vision for the future is to continue with the highly successful growth which has underpinned our presence in Wales and continue to support local development initiatives.”

The office was opened by first minister for Wales, Rhodri Morgan.
