Building Design Partnership’s Marlowe academy in Ramsgate, Kent, and Purcell Miller Tritton’s restoration of Wollaton Hall in Nottingham are among the projects shortlisted for the Wood awards.

Categories in the awards, which are organised by campaign group Wood for Good, include public and commercial buildings, privately funded schemes, structural projects, conservation and furniture.

The top prize, the gold award, is given to the best winner from the architecture-based categories.

The Cutty Sark Pavilion, designed by Youmeheshe, joins the Marlowe academy in the structural category. The scheme was commissioned to keep up interest in the site while the ship is being refurbished.
