Succesful firm to work on UAL’s London College of Fashion, V&A and Sadler's Wells

Fit-out specialists have been put on notice for two deals worth £29m at the £1bn cultural precinct at Stratford Waterfront.

In a contract notice published on the Official Journal, the London Legacy Development Company said it was looking for a firm to work on the University of the Arts London's (UAL) new facility for the London College of Fashion.

At least five contractors are expected to be shortlisted by 30 August, with work on the contract expected to start next January.

The job is scheduled to wrap up in April 2022.

The LLDC is also looking for a fit-out firm to work on an £8.8m contract for the V&A and Sadler's Wells.

The works are due to start on site next June with completion of the V&A building by April 2021 and the Sadler's Wells building by March 2022.

Firms have until 12 July to register interest, with a shortlist of at least five firms set to be released by 20 August.

Last week London mayor Sadiq Khan OK'd plans for the £1bn Stratford Waterfront scheme that also includes a new home for the BBC.
