The Ministry of Defence has announced a shortlist for its latest prime contract, a £500m scheme covering more than 300 sites in the South-west.
Five consortiums are battling it out for the five-year scheme. They are: Diamond Solutions (Carillion and Mitie), Cirrus Prime Services (Costain, Scott Wilson and Group 4), Debut Services (Bovis Lend Lease and SGI), Prime Service (Balfour Beatty and WS Atkins) and Interserve Defence.

The project, being run by the MoD from its base in Yeovilton, Somerset, will cover capital works and maintenance. The South-west regional prime contract is the second such deal – the first, in Scotland, is out to tender.

  • The Health and Safety Executive has shortlisted three firms for a pfi deal to build its headquarters in Merseyside. Kajim, a team led by the Norwich Union PPP Fund and the Pyramid consortium, are competing for the scheme, which will be close to the HSE's present headquarters in Bootle.
