Foreign Office Architects has walked off its Institute of Legal Medicine project in Madrid, claiming that conflicts arose “from the expectation of meeting a certain level of quality architecture without being granted the necessary resources”.
FOA said a lack of funding would produce a “low-quality building”. The 14,000ft2 building is part of the City of Justice development, with other buildings designed by Foster + Partners, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Zaha Hadid.
