Giles said his role would include business development. He said: "The firm is looking to penetrate the market more effectively. I came here to help grow their business."
Rowney managing director Stewart Rowney said that he was delighted Giles had joined. He said: "With Matthew's experience in developing and managing relationships with major customers, we are confident the firm will achieve our ambitious growth targets over the next five years.
Rowney Sharman was set up in 1995 and has offices in London and Ascot, Berkshire. The firm works in the commercial, retail and residential markets. Clients include Astra Zeneca, Pillar Property and Berkeley Homes.
The firm's highest profile scheme was the £20m Electronics Arts headquarters in Chertsey, Surrey, designed by Foster and Partners, which was opened in 2000.
