Steve Hollingshead, the former southern director of Laing O’Rourke, is to rejoin the company he left two years ago.

Hollingshead will become head of Laing O’Rourke’s Expanded business, which provides demolition and off-site services. He will report directly to Tony Douglas, the former Heathrow chief executive who was recently appointed chief operating officer at the company.

Hollingshead originally left Laing O’Rourke in October 2005 amid a company restructuring to set up his own development firm. He had spent more than 10 years at the contractor.

The move comes as Laing O’Rourke expands its off-site manufacturing capability.
